The school is situated in Risia which is in few distance from Nepal-India Border. Name of Risia was known as RISHI-BHOOMI. The school was established by Prof. Kanhaiya Lal Srivastava who was former of both degree college and inter college. He was fully inspired with Goddess Gayatri. In his spiritual beliefs in Maa Gayatri he proposed the name of inter college and degree college as Gayatri Vidya Peeth
